LELAND — Betty Jean Pratt, age 80, of Leland, NC passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.
She was born on October 14, 1942 in St. Louis City County, MO to the late Albert L. York and Betty A. Mittendorf York.
Betty was a Pastor’s wife for 35 years. She was very active in her work in 15 overseas mission trips for her denomination. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Carey Renshaw Pratt, Jr.; son, Kyle Pratt, Sr. (Jennifer); daughters, Jeanne Bass (Susan) and Keri Pratt (Charlie); brothers, Albert York (Jan) and David York (Janice); grandchildren, Kristen Nelson (James), Megan York, Matthew Bright, Sarah Bright, Jordan Bright (Montana), Noel Pratt (Casey), Micheal Koenig, Katelyn Koenig, Kyle Pratt, Jr. (Hannah), Jagger McKellar, and Jasper Pratt; great-grandchildren, Keegan, Riley, Henrik, Arlo, and Thatcher; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions in memory of Betty may be made to Wilmington First Church of the Nazarene – Missions Department at 5654 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC 284121.
