WILMINGTON — James Yelverton, Jr., age 79, of Wilmington (formerly of Goldsboro), passed away Monday, April 3, 2023.
A celebration of Mr. Yelverton’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 7, 2023 at New Beginning Christian Church, 3120 Alex Trask Dr., Castle Hayne, NC 28429. A viewing will be held one (1) hour prior to the service.
His love and memories will remain in the heart of his wife, Mary Yelverton of the home; children, Karen Yelverton of Goldsboro, James H. Yelverton (Altouise), Catherine Winbush of Charlotte, Sherri Moore of Greensboro, Charles Nelson (Felisha) and Kathryn Nelson both of Wilmington; step-son, Ricky Mable of Goldsboro; sisters, Lillie Simmons (Jerry) of Dudley and Mary Moore of Princeton, 25 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
