WILMINGTON — Edith Godwin Batson, 85, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Victor D. Batson, and her parents Donnie and Esther Godwin.She is survived by her daughter Vickie Batson, son Alan Keith Batson and wife Lisa, brother Donald Phillip Godwin, and her three grandchildren Scott Whiteted, Trevor and Carli Batson.
She was a graduate of New Hanover High School.
She loved her church family and was an active member of Freedom Baptist Church. Her passions included her family, golf at Riegelwood Country Club, and being the most loving mother and grandmother.
A graveside service will be held at Oleander Memorial Gardens on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dodd Mays officiating.
Memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Life Care or Freedom Baptist Church both of Wilmington, NC.
