SOUTHPORT — Carol Ann Nord, age 83, of Southport, North Carolina passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023.
Carol was born October 17, 1939, daughter of the late Harold and Ruth Cope. She was very active in her retirement & enjoyed time with friends in various groups (playing cards, mahjongg, & book clubs). Carol enjoyed walking on the beach and spending time with her husband of 63 years.
Survivors include her husband, Philip E. Nord; two children, Randall Nord and wife Jeannette, and Karin Nord; and her sister, Jackie Knauff. Carol was preceded in death by her infant son, Robert Michael Nord.
A celebration of her life will be held at Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southport at noon on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made in her name to the Saint Peter Lutheran Church Endowment Fund or The American Red Cross.
