BURGAW — Pamela Jean Brodhead, age 76, of Burgaw passed from her earthly life Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.
She was born May 31, 1946 in Delaware, New York. The daughter of the late James Edward Buckingham and Roberta Hilda DeGroat Buckingham.
Pamela is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carl Lee Brodhead; children, Jamie Lynn Fortin (Ronald), Todd M. Brodhead, Tammy Sue Brodhead, Christopher J. Brodhead (Cindy), and Martha Jo Brodhead; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren with another one soon to be born; brother, Larry Buckingham (Cheryn); many extended family members and friends.
Pamela and Carl both were advocates for animals and strong supporters of Pender County Humane Society. Pamela’s last employment was with the no-kill animal shelter.
Pamela was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Her presence on earth and in our family circle will be greatly missed.
