WILMINGTON — A kind and gentle soul, a gracious and loving lady, Janet Sheila Busalachi passed from her earthly life Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the age of 68 years following a brief illness. Lots of love and prayers accompanied Janet as she transitioned to be with the Lord in heaven.
She was born May 25, 1954 in England, the daughter of Leonard Roy Ancell and the late Sheila Simmonds Ancell. As a young bride, she travelled to the states and resided in Upstate NY before moving to the coast of NC, all the while maintaining close relations with her precious family overseas.
Janet is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, John J. Busalachi; daughters and sons-in-law, Louisa Kemmer (Johan), Sarah Busalachi (Josh Craig), and Kristen Tackett (Tommy); father, Leonard Roy Ancell and his wife, Jean; sister, Lorraine Ridgley (Paul); and brother, Mark Ancell (Margaret). Janet cherished her grandchildren Travis, Tate, and Riley and was excited about her recent relocation to Rocky Point where she was closer to them. Janet has many nieces, nephews and extended family members, all who dearly love her.
Janet enjoyed caring for her friends and family, hosted many bountiful gatherings, and always looked out for others. She loved animals, traveling to scenic places, and meeting new people through her work in hospitality. A faithful listener and encouraging companion, she shared her most precious gift, time, freely to all who were in need. She exuded her compassionate, generous, and selfless spirit, always welcoming and supporting others, truly making this world a better, more peaceful place every single day. It is fitting that God has called our beloved Janet to his eternal banquet as she completed her lifetime as a distributor of His endless blessings.
