SOUTHPORT — Isabel Squires Bonardi, age 84, of St. James, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
he was born in Palisades Park, New Jersey on June 10, 1938. She attended Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School, worked in the executive offices at Johnson & Johnson, and after raising her children full time, she returned to the workforce selling fine clothing at several well-known retailers. Isabel loved gathering with friends to play games, walking, and spending time with her family and her friends in the community. She also volunteered at the CIS Thrift Store in Southport.
Isabel was preceded in death by parents William and Berta Squires, brother William Squires, and husband Robert Dean Bonardi of 60 years. She is survived by two sons, Doug Bonardi of Omaha NE and Gregg Bonardi and wife Susan of Middleton, NJ; three grandchildren, Christopher, Sara and Anthony Bonardi, and three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Kayden and Catalina.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at St. James Chapel in Southport, NC.
