BURGAW — Rose Thompson Reams, 62, of Burgaw passed from her earthly life Thursday, March 3, 2022 at her home.
She was born January 22, 1960 in Gastonia.
Rose is survived by her mother, Martha Frye Gilreath and her husband, Walt of Gastonia; her loving husband of 24 years, Johnnie Reams; daughters, Melissa Flaverney (Dale) and Stephania Dupree (Michael); son, Curtis Youngblood; grandchildren, Zachary Tyler, Brandon Dupree, Matthew Dupree, Emilee Flaverney, Malia Flaverney, and Selena Flaverney; brothers, Billy Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, and Howard Thompson; sisters, Pamela Guye (Mike) and Linda Thompson; many nieces and nephews.
Being gifted with a love of music and a beautiful voice, Rose enjoyed singing and has even made her own music CD. For entertainment Rose enjoyed playing Bingo and being an Elvis Presley fan collected Elvis music and memorabilia. Most of all Rose was a devoted wife, wonderful mother and an exceptional grandmother. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
There will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with Chaplain Patrick Hall conducting the service.
