LELAND — Eileen Adell Kapela, 73, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at her home.
Mrs. Kapela was born Nov. 16, 1947, in Queens, New York, and was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Ida Fichera Adell. She was a retired nurse’s assistant. She moved to Leland three years ago from Long Island, New York, and immediately became friends with her neighbors. They enjoyed many fun times together.
She is survived by two children, Theodore Kapela of Northport, New York, Kathleen “Kathy” Kapela of Centereach, New York; and sister, Leonor Adell of Bayshore, New York.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19, at the chapel of Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service, 1411 N. Howe St., Southport. The service will be broadcasted live via the funeral home’s Facebook page.
