ROCKY POINT — Judith Ann Dee, 67, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, in Wilmington.
Judy was born Sept. 24, 1953, in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, to Florella and Gerald Gabel. She graduated from Addison High School in 1971.
Judy loved to travel, see new things and spend time with friends and family. She was no stranger to adversity or hard work. While she made a life for herself as a hairstylist, she also often worked at a second job.
Judy was devoted to her family and her clients alike. She loved to prepare great feasts, take care of her loved ones and truly found joy in giving to others. She never hesitated to open her heart and her home to everyone she came across, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Gabel.
Judy is survived by her mother, Florella Gabel; husband, Timothy Dee; children, Casey Schooley, Kimberly Schooley (Amanda Maris), Danielle Lewis and Darin Jorgensen; seven grandchildren; and many beloved cousins.
A walk-through viewing, with no sitting, for relatives and friends will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 15, at Dunn Funeral Home, 810 West Wilmington St., Burgaw. Funeral services, with social distancing requirements, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, at the funeral home.
