RALEIGH — Daryl J. Mapson, 65, formerly of Leland, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020.
His love and memories will remain in the heart of his wife, Deborah Mapson of the home; son, Daryl Tyree Mapson; siblings, Marva L. Robinson and Walter Fennell Mapson (Sadie), both of Leland, and Terry McKoy of Wilmington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave., Wilmington. A celebration of Mr. Mapson’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 6, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 3701 Princess Place Drive, Wilmington. Interment will follow in Johnson Chapel AME Zion Church Cemetery.
