SHALLOTTE — Judith Ann “Judy” Danford, 75, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020.
Born March 5, 1945, in Brunswick County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Todd and Robie Clemmons Todd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Danford; and brothers, Chester Todd, Kelly Todd and Roy Todd.
Surviving are her daughters, Renee Whitley (Cannon) and Marsha Gillespie (George), both of Shallotte; sons, the Rev. Ricky Danford (Lisa) and Eddie Danford (significant other, Lorrie), both of Shallotte, David Danford (Jennifer) of Ocean Isle Beach and Brett Danford of Shallotte; sister, Patricia “Pat” Taylor (Robert) of Supply; grandchildren, Merinda (Bob), Brittany (B.J.), Nicki (Cole), Michelle (Michael), Ryan (Charlee), Taylor (Kyle) and Cody; and great-grandchildren, Faith, Haley, Sidney, James and Annalee.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Shallotte, officiated by her son, the Rev. Ricky Danford. Casket bearers will be Ryan Danford, Cody Danford, Michael Adams, Lester Todd, Doug Todd and Curtis Todd. Honorary casket bearers will be B.J. Shipley, Bob Long, Cole Rawling and Kyle Ashmore.
