Eugenia ‘Genia’ Kivett, 51, independent self-starter who was passionate about her career

WILMINGTON — Eugenia “Genia” Kivett, 51, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother and grandparents, Linda Gail Phillips and Andrew and Ann Newcomb.

She left behind her nearest and dearest, including her fiancé, Eric Lee; sisters, Cindy Laverdiere and Charlotte West, and her husband, Kenny; as well as her daughter, Nichole Little-Leonard, and her wife, Megan; and son, Timothy Brank. She will also be greatly missed by Scott Kivett, Ella Laverdiere, Tucker Laverdiere, Lennie Phillips, Tanner West and many other family members and friends.

Genia had such a beautiful soul! She absolutely loved the beach. That was her happy place! She loved her children and family more than anything in the world. She was independent, brave, fierce, and never let anyone or anything get in her way! She was full of life, passionate about her career, loved fast sports cars, and was strong, driven, intelligent, funny and quick-witted!

She will be sorely missed, always remembered, and is deeply loved by so many! Her legacy and her memory will carry on in all the lives she touched.
