LELAND — Claude Allen Reeves, 66, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2020, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Reeves was born Sept. 18, 1953, in New Hanover County and was the son of the late Robert and Myrtle Townsend Reeves. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Harold Reeves.
Mr. Reeves was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially loved bow hunting and was a member of the North Carolina Bow Hunters Association and also a member of the Grassy Branch Hunting Club. He was an avid gardener and a member of the Hobby Greenhouse Club of Wilmington. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Henry Reeves; two children, Claude Douglas Reeves of the home and Wendy Reeves Vaughan, and her husband, Tim, of Charlotte; and sister, Patricia Yeats of Wilmington.
A memorial service will be announced for a later date.
