WILMINGTON — Dwight Henry Deters, 61, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020. He was born May 16, 1958, to Gene and Lina Deters.
Dwight was a great husband and friend to so many. He never met a stranger, always seeing the best in others and never complaining. He was a happy man who loved encouraging others and making them laugh. To all who had the privilege to know him, he will never be forgotten. There was only one Dwight Deters, only one.
He is survived by his other half, his wife, Angie Deters, who he shared an amazing love story with for over 34 years, a love that will live forever; father, Gene Deters; and brother, Donald Deters, and his wife, Marcela.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 23, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
