LONGWOOD — Billy Bland, 80, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Bland was born Jan. 12, 1940, in Brunswick County, the son of the late Ernest and Annie Belle Inman Bland. He was a warm and caring man who loved the Lord. He was a great daddy and papa to his family.
Survivors include his sons, Billy Joseph Bland, and his wife, Courtney, of Longwood, Abraham Bland, and his wife, April, of Ash, and John Hope Bland, and his wife, Mary, of Ash; mother of his children, Sherrill Bland Woods of Ash; sisters, Rosa Lee Young of Longwood, Juanita Sharp of Longwood, Kever Tatum of Pireway and Pearl Todd of Longwood; and eight grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Bland Section of McKeithan Cemetery, Longwood. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17, at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte.
