WINNABOW — Michael Eugene “Mike” Potter, 55, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at his home.
Mike was born Sept. 9, 1964, in New Hanover County, a son of Jackie and Lois Jones Potter of Magnolia.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He truly loved his family and had a heart as big as the outdoors. Mr. Potter was employed as a construction coordinator with Spectrum.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Sheri F. Potter; daughter, Nichole Wilkins, and her husband, Matt, of Leland; brother, Tim Potter, and his wife, Amanda, of Hampstead; niece, Natalie Potter; two nephews, Trey Potter and Dillon Frazier; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Phyllis Frazier of Wilmington; and brother in-law, Michael Frazier, and his wife, Loria, of Wilmington.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, with the Rev. John Butler officiating. Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
