WILMINGTON — Virginia E. Talbard, 94, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019.
Virginia was born May 6, 1925, in Montgomery County, daughter of the late Alger and Cora McCallum. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond McCallum (Doris) and Edgar McCallum (Louise); daughter, Lois Williamson; and grandson, Nathan Williamson.
Virginia was known for sitting on the front porch holding her beloved dog looking over her lovely flowers she tended daily, always with a smile. She retired from Fox Bakery after many years of service.
She is survived by her son, Michael Cox; daughter, Belinda Keith (Andy); grandchildren, Uriah Cox (Ashley), Tiffany Keith and Arnold Pitts; great-grandchildren, Eliana, Jackson, Carter and Sawyer.
“Rest on her lightly earth and dew, she put so little weight on you.”
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Burt Vezina officiating.
