SUNSET BEACH — Patrick Joseph Dowd, 65, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019.
He was born Dec. 2, 1953, in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of the late Laurence Dowd and Shirley Keller Dowd.
Patrick spent 43 years in the insurance industry of executive management. He was an avid reader, enjoyed golfing and traveling. He was devoted to his faith, loved his family, friends and feathered friends.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Claudia Burrows Dowd; sons, Michael and Ryan, and his dog, Molly, of Sunset Beach; and cherished two grandchildren.

A Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16, at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church. A reception will follow in Brendan Hall.
