WILMINGTON — Matilda M. Atkins, 99, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, John C. Atkins Jr. (Dolores) of Leland and Sadie Owens of Fayetteville; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Ms. Atkins’ life will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, at Davis Funeral Home, 901 S. 5th Ave., Wilmington. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow services in Acorn Branch Cemetery.
