OAK ISLAND — Kathleen DeAraujo Beauchamp, 77, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019.
Mrs. Beauchamp was born June 21, 1941, to the late Gillherme and Josephine DeAraujo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; and daughter, Alexandria. Kathleen is survived by a son in Texas.
Mrs. Beauchamp spent her time wisely and with great determination to make a difference. She volunteered with Oak Island Feral Cat Program. She had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved cats. She gave freely from her heart of gold. She lent an ear to anyone in need. She brought peace and joy with her wherever she was. Loved by many, she will forever be missed.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Southport.
