Update: $250,000 bond for man arrested in alleged armed robbery of Murrayville pharmacy

Update 6 p.m. Wednesday: The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office reports that 42-year-old Casey Graham Futch has been arrested for allegedly robbing the Walgreens pharmacy at 2401 N. College Road. 

Futch has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony possession. He is being held on $250,000 in the New Hanover County detention facility.

WILMINGTON — The New Hanover County Sherriff’s Office (NHCSO) is investigating an armed robbery at the Walgreens on North College and Bavarian Lane near North Kerr Avenue.

The incident occurred Tuesday around 4:30 p.m. According to NHSO spokesperson Lt. Jerry Brewer, the suspect walked to the pharmacy counter and demanded narcotics. Two bottles of an unknown drug were given to the man after he threatened the use of a gun.

The suspect left the Walgreens building on foot.

Brewer said that K-9, aviation, patrol, and CID units are currently working the area; the investigation is ongoing.
