
ST. JAMES — Lorraine Faye “Lori” Taylor, 68, wife, mother, artist, jewelry designer, cookbook author, photographer and world traveler, died Sunday, May 12, 2019, at her residence. Lori was born Oct. 28, 1950, in Middletown, New York, to John and Lillian Bardagjy.
She was proud of her Armenian heritage. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1972 and married James Taylor the same year. They moved to Boston and later to Leominster, Massachusetts, where they welcomed their two beautiful girls, Kristen and Brooke. They lived in Sterling, Massachusetts, for 30 years before building their dream home in St. James, where Lori was a member of the St. James Artisan Gallery.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 47 years, James Taylor, are daughters, Kristen Hall (Steven) of Cary and Brooke Taylor of Oxford, Ohio; brother, Jon; sister, Joan; and four grandchildren, Lillian, Sophia, Austin and Cole.
They family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Southport/Oak Island Chapel, followed by a celebration of her life at the Members Club in St. James from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Interment will be a private family service.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
