LELAND — John Michael Hough, 72, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2018. He was born Oct. 23, 1946, in Washington, D.C., to Charles and Phyllis Hough.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Lynn Hough.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rita Hough; son, John Hough Jr. of Ridgeway; grandson, Joshua Blake Hough of Walkersville, Maryland, sisters, Cheryl Carrigg-Sekely, and her husband, Andy, and Lori Zagami, and her husband, Chuck, both of Maryland.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation Service. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 10, at Basilica Shrine of St. Mary’s with Father Bob officiating.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mr. Hough’s many friends that stood by his side, especially his golfing buddies.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
