SOUTHPORT — Jerry Wayne Brown, 69, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2018. He was born Oct. 27, 1949, in Rockingham County to the late Paul Herbert Brown and Myrtle Crouch Brown.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a grandson, Zane Blake.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Minnie Brown; three daughters, Tina Blake, and her husband, Glenn, of Southport, Anita Shuff, and her husband, David, of Conway, South Carolina, and Janice Stone, and her husband, James, of Southport; sister, Susan Talley, and her husband, Paul, of Reidsville; six grandchildren, Zachary Brown, and his wife, Becky, Brair Shuff, Ashley Shuff, Zoe Blake, Mekenzie Stone and Kennedy Stone; and a friend who was like a brother, Ben Christman.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, followed by services at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Home.
