WILMINGTON — Ruth Ann Duncan, 80, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 14, 1938, the daughter of the late Paul and Annie Wallace of Wilmington.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Mitchell M. Duncan of Wilmington; daughter, Judy L. Duncan of Wilmington; brother, Jesse H. Wallace of Virginia; and sister, Barbara J. McKinion of Wilmington.
Mrs. Duncan was a longtime employee of Zora’s Seafood on Castle Street, where she worked for many years. She then went to work at Roses Department Store and later retired to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by two daughters, Chera Croom of Wilmington and Beverly Moore, and her husband, Jimmy Moore, all of Wilmington. She was blessed with eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed spending a great amount of time with.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, at Andrews Valley Chapel, 4108 South College Road. A graveside service will follow visitation at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
