William B. ‘Brian’ Monroe

William B. “Brian” Monroe, 45, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at home.

He was born April 29, 1973, son of William Terry Monroe and Donita Stephenson Monroe. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Loyd and Shirley Stephenson; and paternal grandparents, Bill Monroe and Ruby Barnhill.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years, Stephanie Dawn Rourk Monroe; two sons, Ryan (Taylor) and Gage Monroe, all of Wilmington; stepson, Billy Palmatier (Noel) of Maco; two grandsons, Jason Monroe and Brantley Palmatier; two brothers, Scott (Christi) and Doug (April), all of Rocky Point; brother-in-law, Kelly Sellers; nieces and nephews, Alex and Blaire Monroe and Lena, David and Robert Sellers; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, at Andrews Valley Chapel. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
