LELAND — Jacob Chandler Rose, 28, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1990, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Michael Rose and Kyna Kruger Rose of Winnabow.
Jacob moved to the Winnabow area two years ago to find “new adventures” to start a new chapter in his life. Prior to moving to North Carolina, he was a lifelong resident of Aurora, Ohio. There, he was on the High School State Championship football team. Jacob loved all sports and was an avid Cleveland fan for football, baseball and basketball. He was a member of the Macedonia Methodist Church in Ohio. Jacob was employed by Next Level Landscaping in Leland and was very much “loved and appreciated” at his job.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Kyna Rose; brother, Aaron J. Rose and Candice of Mantua, Ohio; and sister, Angela R. Forrai and Phil of Winnabow. He leaves behind his fiancée, Jennifer Powell of Leland, who is expecting a baby in May of 2019. He leaves behind many, many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 2, at Andrews Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington. Family and friends will share love and stories about Jacob and lift his soul to be with our Father in heaven.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking you contact Angela (sister) 216-339-5120 for deposit information for a fund established for Jacob’s baby that is due in May 2019.
Share online condolences with the family at Andrews Mortuary & Crematory.
