CASTLE HAYNE — Michael Richard Barnhill, 45, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018.
Born in New Hanover County, July 20, 1973, a son of Darline Hilby Aman and the late Daniel David Barnhill, he was a lifelong resident who had been employed in law enforcement.
In addition to his mother, Darline, he is survived by his stepfather, Dennis Aman; sister, Carol Kennedy, and her husband, Ronnie; brothers, Daniel Barnhill and Dennis W. Aman; several nieces and nephews; and close friends, Amanda Greene and Brian Matthews.
His family will receive relatives and friends at 5 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Kennedy family home, 1623 Kennedy Road, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention; or New Hanover County Humane Society.
