HAMPSTEAD — Justin Tyler Picarella, 24, passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018.
Justin graduated from Topsail High School. He was an avid Tarheels fan and enjoyed the outdoors.
Justin was born Jan. 21, 1994, the son of Shona Parker Talbert and the late Kelly Batchelor.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Batchelor.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Trent Talbert; sister, Katelyn; stepbrothers, Cole and Issac Talbert; paternal grandparents, Ray and Phyllis Batchelor; maternal grandmother, Pat Rogers; and uncles, Brian Parker (Fatima) and Chase Rogers.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel, 17730 Hwy 17 N., Hampstead. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, at Topsail Presbyterian Church, 16249 Hwy 17 N., Hampstead. Pallbearers will be Wayland Batson, Cooper Smith, Chris McKeithan, Matthew Gladden, David Garner and Shane Moran. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
