WINNEBOW — Geneva “Polly” Gullion, 81, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at her home.
Polly was born Nov. 17, 1936, to the late Broomfield and Layla Buchanan Blevins in Marion, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dianne Gullion Ericson; brothers, Page, Sam, Port, Clyde and Dwight; and sister, Bettie Sauls.
Polly is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clarence “David” Gullion; brothers, Harvey, Doug, Louis, Garland and Mason; sister, Shirley Akers; daughter, Rebecca Palmer (Marty) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son-in-law, Martin Ericson of Concord; son, David Jr. (Susan) of Sanford; daughter, Paula Rosenbloom (Lew) of Winnabow; five grandchildren, Michael Palmer, William Palmer, Elizabeth Jane Palmer Blosser, Margaret Ericson and Kellen Rosenbloom; and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Lynn Palmer and Michael Geoffrey Palmer Jr.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 7, at Oakdale Cemetery, 520 N. 15th St., Wilmington.
The family would like to thank the emergency medical service and law enforcement persons of Leland and their caring neighbors of Tylers Cove in Mallory Creek.
