Patty McCullen Keen, 85, volunteered with the Salvation Army

WILMINGTON — Mrs. Patty McCullen Keen, 85, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018, at NorthChase Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Sept. 17, 1932, in Mount Olive, North Carolina, daughter of the late Melvin McCullen and Verlon Warren McCullen. Her husband, Glenn E. Keen, preceded her in death.

Patty was a homemaker and member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a dedicated volunteer for the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Keen, and his wife, Connie, of Wilmington; two daughters, Donna Fisk, and her husband, James, of Castle Hayne and LeAnne Keen of Wilmington; six grandchildren, Matthew Keen, Adam Keen (Vanessa), Michael Fisk (Martha), Dana Fisk Durst (Sam), Alex Robinson and Rachel Harvell; and four great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Benjamin Fisk and Jayden and John Samuel Durst.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 30, at Andrews Valley Chapel. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, at Oleander Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Margaret Hockett officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1401 S. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28403.
