John “Gray” Currin III passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Gray was born Sept. 20, 1980, in Wake County. He grew up and attended school in Alamance County and was a graduate of Johnson and Wales University.
Gray worked at the Carolina Yacht Club at Wrightsville Beach, where he served as the food and beverage manager. Gray was an avid sportsman, fisherman and waterfowler. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many days on the waters and marshes with his family and great friends. He will be remembered by many for his kindness, generosity and his love for his children and family.
Gray is survived by his wife, Jen; son, Jack; daughter, Nora; parents, John and Sarah Neal Currin of Gibsonville, N.C.; and sister, Jennie Rhyne Hendrix of Winston-Salem, N.C.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Gray’s life.
