SHALLOTTE — Howard Rudolph “Rudy” Fowler, 65, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, Columbus County Regional Medical Center Whiteville, N.C.
He was born Feb. 11, 1953, in Loris, S.C., the son of the late R.D. and Loretta Fowler and was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Woody Simmons.
Rudy loved the outdoors, and hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his sister, Janice F. Simmons of Ash; two brothers, Steve Fowler, and his wife, Donna, of Myrtle Beach and Dale Fowler, and his wife, Debi, also of Ash, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; and a special companion, “Summer Kitty.”
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 22, at White Funeral and Cremation Service Shallotte Chapel, 3660 Express Drive, Shallotte.
