WILMINGTON — Diane J. Batson, 73, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 15, 2018. She was born in Wilkes Barre, Pa., to Peter and Nellie Hutz, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Caswell Presbyterian Church for many years. Also, preceding her in death were her husband, Charles T. Batson, and former, husband Edward Klonoski; and brother, Ray Hutz.
She is survived by sisters, Peggy Roman, Gerri Sarti, and her husband, Jimmy, and Betty Simonetti, and her husband, Leo; sister-in-law, Doris Hutz; son, Michael Klonoski, and his wife, Sharon; daughter, Robin Soto, and her husband, Jerry; stepchildren, Robert Batson, Anthony Batson, and his wife, Brittany, and Jason Batson; grandchildren, Skyler, Zuleyka, Sheila, Jesus, Hilary, Ashley, Reese, Kayla, Kimmie, Katie, Charlie and Thomas; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Naoma Woodcock, Brenda Miller and “Prissy.”
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 19, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral & Cremation with Pastor Ross Cavanaugh officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
