He was also an assistant brew master apprentice, and a member of the Lockwood Inlet Association.
He loved to entertain his friends and neighbors at his oyster roasts around the fire pit; his ribs and pulled pork, cooked on his big green egg, were well known.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Conner Anderson; daughter, Deborah A. Andraca (Marc) of Milwaukee; son, Eric R. Anderson of Cincinatti; grandchildren, Mia Andraca, Andie Andraca and Kyle Anderson; brother, William Anderson (Mary) of Raleigh; first mate, Steve Meadow; and his pets, dog, Sailor, his buddy, and bad cat, Bobbie.
