
Eunice J. “Jean” Clemons, 73, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, of natural causes at her home. She was born March 6, 1944, in Kissimee, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Fay; brother, Eddie; and sister, Lois.
She is survived by her son, Abraham; daughter-in-law Elizabeth; extended family; dear friend and caregiver, Tina Hudson; and many other devoted friends and church members at her home at University Place.
Jean was raised in Kissimee, Fla., where she graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1962. She moved to Wilmington in 1981, where she lived until her death. Jean loved cats, gardening, kayaking, beach music and dancing. Although the later years of her life were dominated by lingering illnesses, she never lost her hopeful spirit, willing smile, or faith in the Lord.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Andrews Market Street Chapel.
