OAK ISLAND — Howard Kelly Small II, 69, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017.
Kelly was born Nov. 21, 1947, in High Point. He was a native of Thomasville and had been a resident of the Oak Island area since age nine. Kelly loved to fish. He had formerly been a building contractor and junk dealer. He considered himself to be the ultimate recycler.
Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Small and Lucille Poole Small; and brother, Sonny Small.
Survivors include his sister, Faye Dorsett of Thomasville; girlfriend of 14 years, Ginny McHenry of Southport; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 30, at Peacock–Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel.
