John Timothy ‘J.T.’ Watkins

WATHA — John Timothy “J.T.” Watkins, 24, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend has left this earth too soon. On Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, he went to join the angels and his family; grandfather, Adrain “Pete” Watkins, and his wife, Jackie; grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Basden, and her husband, Red; and sister-in-law, Amy Cameron, all who welcomed J.T. in heaven.

J.T. is survived by his mother, Lori Prosser, and her husband, Nick; father, Timothy Watkins, and his wife, Theresa; siblings, Steven Cameron, Amanda Stuber (Adam), Sabrina Mason (Corey), Jimmy Prosser, Bradley Prosser, Allen Prosser, Patrick Lloyd, Rebecca Hasen and Joe Echols; grandfather, Charles Caldwell (Jamile); grandmother, Cynthia Plante (Arthur); many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

J.T. was a quiet, but loving young man, who enjoyed making you smile. He loved kids, especially his nieces and nephews. Being mechanically gifted, J.T. could fix almost anything. For fun, he enjoyed basketball and fishing. His presence on this earth will be missed; he was loved by many.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, at Watha Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Clint Jones and the Rev. Terry Rickey will conduct the service. The family will receive friends following the service.
