
On Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, Wanda Jane Miller Finch received her angel wings and flew away to Jesus. She was 66. Wanda was born July 3, 1951, the daughter of Harold H. and Dorothy Miller and was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Miller.
Wanda suffered a number of years with scleroderma, a ruthless disease for which there is no known cause or cure.
Surviving are her husband, Walter Edwin Finch of Wilmington, N.C.; parents, Harold and Dorothy Miller of Wilmington, N.C.; son, Michael Milliken of Wilmington, N.C.; daughter, Wendy Porter (John) of Bolivia, N.C.; granddaughter, Brittany Pearsall (Tyler); great-granddaughter, McKenzie Rose Pearsall; sisters, Harriett Wright (Buck) of Morganton, N.C., and Jessica Miller of Wilmington, N.C.; brothers, Harold H. Miller Jr. (Claudia) of Burgaw, N.C., and Rodney Miller (Susan) and Marcus Miller, both of Wilmington, N.C.; nieces, Michelle Rogers of Morganton, N.C., and Elizabeth Webb and Sarah Miller of Wilmington, N.C.; nephews, Andy Parker of Hickory, N.C., Harold Miller III of Lincolnton, N.C., Jeff Miller of Mount Ulla, N.C.; sister-in-law, Elizabeth D. Finch of Wilmington, N.C.; and special friend, her second mom, Thelma Waters of Wilmington, N.C.
Wanda’s beautiful smile, happy nature and artistic talents were some of her special blessings from God.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 7, at Andrews Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Road. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Seagate Baptist Church, 6115 Oleander Drive, with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, 520 N. 15th St., Wilmington. Pallbearers will be Tom Parmenter, Jerry Tate, Buddy Boone, Al Brunjes, Linwood Todd and David Wicker.
