WINNABOW — Samuel Ashe “Sam” Martin, 38, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017.
Born Nov. 1, 1978, in Wilmington, he was a son of Sally and Jim Martin.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Katie Martin; son, Sammy Martin; daughter, Quinn Martin; brother, Ken Martin; sister, Rebekkah Martin; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Martin.
Sam was madly in love with his wife Katie and an adoring father to his children Sammy and Quinn. Sam was loved by many, whether it was childhood friends, people he met at the family’s Ashton Farm or volleyball team mates. Sam loved God, and spent time at Port City Church serving others through children’s ministry and adult care groups. Sam will be greatly missed, but those who love the Lord can be assured that we will be reunited with him again.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 7, at Port City Community Church, 250 Vision Drive, Wilmington, in the Studio 3 auditorium.
