HAMPSTEAD — Maureen Lois Severance Hawkins, 78, died Monday, July 3, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 2, 1939, in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of the late Ralph and Marguerite White Severance.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Roy S. Hawkins; children, David Hawkins, Patricia Warwick (Joe), Roger Hawkins (Barbie) and Kathy Wilcox; six grandchildren, Jarrett Harley (Erine), Catherine Harley, Chance Hawkins, Joe Warwick, Brent Warwick (Chandra) and Shan Marie Wilcox; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Rebecca Robinson; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Etheredge (Charles); and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hawkins will be remembered as a sweet and kind person who was loved by many people.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 6, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel. Burial will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park.
