CALABASH — Sarah Ruth Edge, 76, of Calabash, passed away Oct. 21, 2016. She was born in Parkton, Md., on March 10, 1940, a daughter of Vernon Tracey and Katie Tracey. She and her husband, Watis A. Edge Sr., owned and operated Captain Andy’s Restaurant and Campground in Calabash.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Sam Edge of Salt Lake City, Utah and Watis A. Edge Jr. (Dana) of Supply; daughters, Andrea Anover (Ray) of Apex, NC, Angela Howell (Charles) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Kathy Smith (Dave) of Brentwood, CA; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26, from the Chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte, by The Rev. Larry Ward. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
