Tylon Roberts, 84, of Wilmington, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born on June 26, 1931 in Columbus County, the son of the late Ellion Laston Roberts and Pecola Grice Roberts. Also remembered are three brothers and four sisters, all of who preceded him in death.
Tylon was a veteran of the US Navy and retired as a manager in the petroleum industry. He attended Hampstead Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of over 59 years, Mary Knowles Roberts; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Roberts; and one sister, Thesia Benton and husband Martin.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Jan. 2 at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
