Wendy L. Gurganious Stanley, of Wilmington, joined her heavenly father Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, after a very long, hard fight with cancer. She was 48.
She was born June 30, 1967, in New Hanover County, to Eddie Lee Gurganious and Linda Elaine Paul.
Wendy is survived by her father, Eddie L. Gurganious; stepmother, Etta P. Gurganious; her mother, Linda P. Johnston; sisters, Kimberly Gurganious Barton and Kelly Gurganious Hansen; her husband, Alan; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Bruce Lloyd.
Wendy was preceded in death by her stepfather, Perry L. Johnston and grandparents, Edna Bradshaw Paul and Mr. Clarance and Idabell Wood.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at Andrews Mortuary, Hampstead Chapel, with the Rev. Joey Canady officiating. Interment will follow at Sea Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 13th Street House for Women or the charity of one’s choice.
