
Eileen Lucille Scheboth, of Wilmington, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at her residence. She was 87.
She was born on June 9, 1927, in Penn Township, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Clarence Herman Kirchner and Gertrude Buck Kirchner. Also remembered are her husband of 60 years Edward Scheboth; a son, Edward Scheboth Jr.; two sisters, Stella Weisser and Shirley Kirchner; a brother, Clarence Kirchner Jr.; and a son, Paul Scheboth, all of whom preceded her in death.
She was an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and School (Bethel Park, Pennsylvania). She served on the Altar Society, actively volunteered with Meals on Wheels, helped with school lunches and volunteered in the administrator’s office. She and Edward relocated to Wilmington and became members of St. Mark Catholic Church.
Surviving are her son, Philip Scheboth and a grandson, Stephen Scheboth, both of Pennsylvania; a son, Robert Scheboth and wife, Karen, of Wilmington; two granddaughters, Jaclynn Scheboth, of Charleston, South Carolina and Courtney Scheboth, of Wilmington; and a grandson, Travis Scheboth, of Wilmington.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 1011 Eastwood Road, Wilmington, NC 28403.
