Terence “Terry” Dean Derck died June 6, 2014, at the age of 76.

He was born Dec. 25, 1937, son of the late Herbert Derck and Imogene (Perkins) Derck Zedaker. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1962 with a degree in business administration. Terry married Mary Price in 1964. They resided in Antwerp, Ohio until relocating to Wilmington in 2010. They had two daughters, Michele, of Portland and Amy Derck (Sterling Vorus) and a grandson, William, of Wilmington.

Terry is survived by his siblings, Tony (the late, Mary Pender), of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Randy (Sue), of Antwerp, Ohio and Joan Rager, of Hicksville, Ohio.

Terry owned Insurance Services Agency in Payne, Ohio and was involved in insurance and banking for over 30 years. He was active in politics and held positions on the Antwerp School Board as well as serving as a Paulding County Commissioner. He served as the president and Paul Harris Fellow of the Antwerp Rotary Club. Terry was a member of the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Antwerp, Ohio and St. Mark Catholic Church in Wilmington..
