Horace W. Hall Sr., of Rocky Point, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at the age of 89.
He was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Robeson County the son of the late James Albert Hall and Rozena Dudley Hall. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jessie Maxine Hall and daughter, Little Jessie Hall.
Mr. Hall proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired as master sergeant after 24 years of service. Horace was a devoted and God-loving man who spent his free time ministering to others, preaching the message and reading the Bible. He was devoted to his family and church families and retired after being a pastor from Freedom Baptist Church, Victory Baptist Church and numerous others.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Hall; sons, David Hall and wife, Belinda, Roger Hall and wife, Connie and Wayne Hall and wife, Belinda; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters; and a host of other loving family.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at Northside Baptist Church, 2501 North College Road, Wilmington, NC 28405. A service will follow at the church at noon. Interment will be private at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
