
Pearl Veta Marcoux Kapalka, of Calabash, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at her residence. She was 85.
Born in Central Falls, Rhode Island on July 1, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Alfred E. Marcoux Jr. and Alma Marcoux. She was a retired certified nursing assistant and was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard, Clifford, Alfred Jr., Russell and Bertha.
Survivors include her children, Stella Arcaro, of Calabash, John Kapalka III and wife, Germaine, of Wareham, Massachusetts, Helen Kapalka and significant other, Charles Hamilton Jr., of Calabash and Wendy Audette Cowans and husband, Patrick, of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, John Kapalka IV, of Wareham, Massachusetts, Joseph C. Kapalka and wife, Meredith, of Pulaski, Virginia, Jayme Kapalka, of Calabash, Bethany Audette, of Casselberry, Florida, Jessica Audette and “D.J.” Parcel, of Wheatfield, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Joseph D. Kapalka, of Sandusky, Ohio, Alexis and Angel Kapalka, of Wareham, Massachusetts, Janie, Ben, Sammy, Kelly and Luke Kapalka, of Pulaski, Virginia, Nicholas, and Alexander, of Casselberry, Florida and Tyler and Nevaeh Kapalka, of Calabash; feline friend, Oscar; several nieces and nephews; and her many dear friends, brothers and sisters of Jehovah Witnesses in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Christiansburg, Virginia and Shallotte,.
