Dorothy Mae Johnson, of Wilmington, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was 83.
She was born July 27, 1931, in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of the late Henry Perry and Myrtle Burroughs Perry. She was preceded in death by her son, Audey Ray Johnson and brother, Lemott Perry.
Dorothy enjoyed traveling and had been to places like the mountains of North Carolina, Branson City, Missouri and Las Vegas. She was a devoted and loving wife for 63 years to her childhood sweetheart, Marvin Johnson.
Surviving are her loving husband, Marvin Johnson, of the home; daughter, Tracey Watts (Bobby); son, Joey Johnson (Kat); three grandchildren, Anthony Watts, Gunnar Watts and Nikki Johnson; and numerous other loving family members.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel.
